The AIPAD Opening Night Gala is tonight from 5-9 p.m. to benefit 92nd Street Y. For 140 years, 92nd Street Y has been serving its communities and the larger world by bringing people together and providing exceptional, groundbreaking programs in areas such as the performing and visual arts and literature and culture. As a nonprofit community and cultural center, 92nd Street Y seeks to create, provide, and disseminate programs of distinction that foster the physical and mental health of human beings throughout their lives, their educational and spiritual growth and their enjoyment.

More than 80 of the world’s leading photography art galleries will present a wide range of museum-quality work, including contemporary, modern and nineteenth-century photographs, as well as photo-based art, video, and new media, at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City’s Upper East Side.
