Photographs from Kelli Connell‘s Double Life series on view in Columbus and Pittsburgh!

Columbus, Ohio:

On view now through March 26th is Columbus College of Art and Design’s group exhibition Sitter. Check out images by Kelli Connell and other artists as they explore the idea of the portrait as it exists in contemporary photography. The convergence of conceptual artists and social documentarians in the exhibition yields work that carefully balances aesthetics, political ideas, and the essence of identity to frame important social issues in a contemporary manner.

Pittsburgh, PA:

A World Imagined:  Kelli Connell and Sara Macel will be on view at Silver Eye  Center for Photography from April 3rd – June 6th. A World Imagined explores the work of photographers Sara Macel and Kelli Connell who make their subjective realities visible through their photography.  Kelli Connell’s images from her seies Double Life visualize questions of intimacy and identity through a relationship created for the camera.
