Our current exhibition at the gallery is Chicago Project V: Selections from Our Online Gallery. It is our bi-annual summer exhibition selected from participants in our online gallery. This exhibition marks the ten-year anniversary of the Chicago Project and features the work of Clarissa Bonet, Eddee Daniel, Juan Fernandez, Peter Hoffman, Justin Chase Lane, Paul Marquardt, Jessica Tampas, Anthony Vizzari and Jacob Watts.
The Chicago Project was created as an online only gallery, devoted to unrepresented photographers in the Chicagoland area. In an effort to promote local talent, Catherine Edelman Gallery put out a call for submission to all local photographers to submit work on an ongoing basis. To date, the site has featured more than 80 photographers whose photographs range from traditional black & white landscapes to color narratives. The goal of the online gallery is to expose local artists to our ever-increasing audience, which includes curators and collectors worldwide.
Lets call it a Flashback Friday and share the announcement card from the first Chicago Project exhibition in 2005.

Many of the artists from that exhibition have gone on to established careers in the art world. Don’t miss this opportunity to come out and support these emerging local photographers.

The exhibition runs through August 31, 2013.
