To be more accurate, we are in Booth #112. Catherine & Juli arrived in the Hamptons this morning to begin setting up for ArtHamptons, now in its third year. CEG will be showing Gregory Scott’s newest piece, At the Beach (above), along with work by Julie Blackmon, Michael Kenna, Herman Leonard, Robert & Shana ParkeHarrison and Lauren E. Simonutti. The fair will have its Opening Preview Party on Thursday, July 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., and it will run through Sunday, July 11 (show hours and directions can be found here). Pick up complimentary passes here, visit Booth #112, and you will be able to see the pieces below along with a selection of other great works from CEG.

Art Chicago 2010 is kicking off tonight—come see us in booth #12-135. We will be showing work by Lauren E. Simonutti—including a couple of new pieces that were not a part of her show 8 Rooms, 7 Mirrors, 6 Clocks, 2 Minds & 199 Panes of Glass in January.

Lauren Wows Chicagoans!

Even after 2 days of snow and frigid weather, we still had a great turnout at the opening for Lauren E. Simonutti’s show, 8 Rooms, 7 Mirrors, 6 Clocks, 2 Minds & 199 Panes of Glass. Lauren traveled by train from Baltimore to Chicago to participate in this weekend’s events. At the opening, I overheard her speaking to several viewers about the work; discussing her toning methods, the props included in specific images and her life during her self-imposed isolation. Today, Lauren discussed her work in front of a crowd of people who attended her artist talk. There was a great dialogue between Lauren and the audience throughout the presentation.
