Jess T. Dugan, one of CEG’s current Identify artists, has been popping up all over the internet. If you didn’t see her fantastic interview with Fusion Network or the great articles in the Advocate and The Boston Globe, then you must have seen her work tumbling all over tumbler.

Jess has been using photography to explore issues of gender, sexuality, identity, and community for almost a decade. In her most recent body of work, Every breath we drew, Jess shows the power of identity and connection through portraits of both herself and others. She photographs people within vulnerable spaces of their homes to create deep relationships with the viewer. Stop by CEG to see select works on view through April 4th.

Through beautifully intimate and honest portraits, Every breath we drew engages larger questions about how identity is formed, desire is expressed, and intimate connection is sought.
